How to replace a Kingston brass bathtub cartridge two handles. They hat notched in the faucet little things on the valves that will fit exactly in those notches but when you push the valve in there is no way that it locks into place. I've moved my handle hundreds of times. To the left and two the right but it will not lock into place please help me I've been weeks with no water because of this.im disabled and cannot afford a plumber can you please help me figure out how to get both hot and cold cartridges to lock into place .there is no special ring or nut to hold it into place either.now there are decorative eschon ces that screw on and the reg.handle will screw to the valve stem.ive never had something like this i couldnt figure out please help me?

If i use channel locks on the bonnet itll undo the pipe in the wall.

I work in maintenance and we have to put a torch to the bonnet to remove the often seized on bonnet.

Was hoping to find a new trick here lol cause it can take many attempts with the torch sometimes

Basically it either comes off super easy by hand, or its a potential nightmare with a torch
