I’m an OTR trucker and doing 12 hours a day 7 days a week is easy…. ESPECIALLY if i don’t have to actually live out of a truck. I pack my own food for being out 2 weeks at a time and being home with a kitchen every day will make it so much easier. Hell…. I usually work 14 hours a day (loading, fueling, unloading) with 11 of those in the drivers seat. This is going to be a piece of cake.

I’m going to be doing Uber eats in my Tesla Model 3. My goal is 8 hours a day and 7 days of the week. To bring my car to full is about $14 saving my tons of money.

I was making the same amount working four days a week last year. Remember work smart not hard.

you also need to account expenses, uber/lyft takes out almost 45-50% of rider's fare, the money that you are seeing when accepting a ride is the money after uber takes their cut. Then, you'll have operating costs (Gas, EV/hybrid/regualar), car payments or rental, car insurance, oil change/ tire replacement, wear and tear, food/water, etc. these costs can range between 20-45% depending on Cost of Living/Locality rates/market, thus leaving you about realistically, 50-65% profit for every trip after Uber takes their cut. say you make 1000 dollars/week. of that figure, you're take home pay is really about $500-650 (pre tax). if you take 20 dollar ride, it means the rider paid about 38-42 dollars. of that 20 dollars, almost half of that goes to operating expenses. Unless the rideshare company reduces their cut from around 48% to 25%, i still think they are greedy and knows that there are always people out there who is willing to do this job.

There is so much you're missing and its why a lot of newbies wonder why their bank account, let alone any savings, are always at zero.

# 1 reason you won’t make 2k/wk is you don’t live in CA. Sometimes I go over 2 hours between ride requests in utah. Zero surge etc.
