The title is misleading. You don’t really cover the “how.” Unless your final comment about driving a certain number of hours is the “how.” No comments on hot zones or promotions… just your reaction to mainly 1 driver’s videos. Maybe changing the title to “how many hours…” would be more accurate. Nothing wrong with that. It would be accurate and hopefully helpful to viewers.

HI! I drive Uber and today had a scary experience! I picked up a young girl from a rather sleezie motel. A little into the ride, it became evident that she was on some kind of drugs. I believe she changed the trip mid stream to a 3 stop ridee. During that time she became rather abusive and when I dropped her at the bank at her second stop she began shouting at me and said "if you don't wait for me I kill you myself with my 2 hands". Being a fairly new driver I was shocked and rather frightened and thought I need to call support or 911. I've just been threatened. However, I didn't contact support (Uber's Safety Agent) until after the ride. I've since also reported this experience to Uber Support and hope they never put her in any other drivers car. Just thought you might want to know this story. I know as an inexperienced driver I didn't handle this correctly. Any advice is welcome!!

Im planning on going back to driving for Uber and Lyft cause a few years ago I only drove a few hours and not everyday but I made good side money. I believe this guy hitting $2000 a week thats near 100k a year. The problem for most drivers is some weeks change on what you make but it’s very possible to hit those numbers, you have to be hustling wake up early and finish late afternoon you will have to be a full time driver. I would be happy with just $1000 to $1500 a week and take the weekends off you can live a frugal life without being under a manager. That’s what i miss was being my own boss no micro managing your work and your own hours.

2022 I was making 15 16 or 1700 a week with Uber plus 3 or 400 lyft in Nashville. Looking back could have made a lot more. I was in a Nissan Sentra. 66k Uber after taxes in 10 around 15k Lyft after taxes

There's some problems with this. The biggest one is massive miles on the car. Perhaps, his mileage tax return will help him buy a new one. I don't know. But that kind of driving has to put a lot of wear and tear. i would imagine with gas it's like 1, 600 dollars still not bad. Also, some people can drive non stop others cant just a fact of life.

People always be forgetting to subtract the mileage from what they make. That will reduce earnings significantly. Mileage deduction for 2023 is $0.655 per mile, multiplied by the number of miles driven. This money should go into a dedicated fund just for car payments, gas, and maintenance. I put on 50-100 miles a day so I have to deduct an average of $50 daily, not just what goes in the gas tank which is only about half that amount. Wear and tear is real and I've put on 30K a year the last three years, this means I will have to replace my car only after about 6 years, which is brutal.
