A great selling point would have been placing a rechargeable battery inside to make it mobile around the house - I have the large Google home and it's great

Since there isn't a battery to deal with, having a micro USB is inconsequential. I'm sure it was part of keeping cost down.

Had the Google Home mini for Two weeks, doesn’t connect to my IHome, and Tp-link switches. Help line said it was a problem specific to Google Home mini, and was being addressed. Brought it back to best buy, and they said they were having returns for the same issue. I will buy a Google home mini again, but not until they have addressed there connectivity issues with wifi switching devices.

Cant wait to get mine butFrom Google presentation it's say OK google play some happy music, but that DOES not work all my home does is playing music by the happy Mondays. Looks like Google hates you not having a subscription & only using you own uploaded music. Not happy.
