They are originally called sliders because the first ones were in a old restaurant where the cook would slide the plate with the burger across the counter to the customers.

The first sliders were White Castle burgers. First made in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas.

That makes me miss the one that used to be on the East Side of Detroit. It was on Harper and Nottingham….Franco’s. Of course this was back in like 86. 12yo me used to walk up there with 4 Quarters and get 4 Sliders and be in heaven 😂😂

I'm more used to Brays. But, one of my best memories of the Hunter House is being in a band based out of Birmingham in my teens (I was the poor kid lol) and only getting a cup of pickles and using the ones I didn't snack on to make a game called 'pickling' with my better-off friends. They didn't realize how well a well-thrown pickle could stick onto the side of high office building windows. I wouldn't really recommend doing it as an adult, but it was some fun stuff while young.

I used to work a few doors down from the Hunter House Burgers in Ann Arbor when they had a location here. They are fantastic. I grew up in Detroit with a Bray's Burgers nearby, but it's hard to find reasonably priced, good food in Ann Arbor because of the student population. Hunter House shut down due to the ridiculous cost of rent in the city. Many of the small business that used to grace the area surrounding University of Michigan are gone. Now the entire area is being taken over by franchises, and empty storefronts.

We had a white castle when I was a kid. Sliders where .17 cents, huge price hike in the 80's, up to .24 cents each.

When you were at Loui's for Detroit Style pizza, half a mile south is Brayz with sliders. Sliders look the same. Never been to Hunter House so I don't know how the taste compares.

You guys are still doing videos in Michigan. You are practically citizens now. Much love, from Brighton, Michigan

Dude Hunter House is so good. I used to work at a restaurant a couple blocks from there. The smell always made me want to stop by before work.

I like these guys bc it isn't "I'm British and everything American is bad and dumb"
It's just 2 bros eatin burgers and drinking sodas across the pond to see what's up
