I grew as an Army brat and married a career Army officer. I grew up having friends where our dads were stationed together, we moved apart and later found ourselves on the same base again. Seventy years later, I still have old childhood friends from our military days. I have more friends from my 22 years as a military wife, we still keep in touch and visit when we can.
