After reviewing the details once the varnish was stripped and the surfaces sanded, the wood was quite beautiful at that point—which points to having to rendition through color of in a grey tonality towards a more Gustavian Scandinavian style. Meaning applied Earthen Ash tones with a graded grey base would enhance the hue rather than a battleship grey, and bleached wood effect. What’s the difference? Two-fold, (a) the overall color scene is closer to seeing it antiqued, (2) retail price points would lift the piece tremendously higher for its valuation. Just a recommended way to possibly pursue on another piece.

I think the secret is to SPRAY the paint on. I'm a new painter and always used a

I always hate judging work like this through photos or videos. It's just never the same as in person. But from what I can tell it does look good. Your stain looks nice and consistent over the whole top. I agree with your comment of color combination. The black handles are a remarkable contrast to the whole piece to really make the stain and paint pop. Good job.

Love leaving the top more naturally. Would be interesting to see some sort of high-low contrast on the body, maybe outline the drawers in black on the raised part to match the handles. Just a thought. Beautiful
