Both my parents are abjectly refuse to acknowledge their emotions. Would much rather choose to do emotionless activities like warch sports or tv. But I've changed to identify emotions but concern now that so many people just dont do that.

Very inaightful points you raised you show your expertise and effort.

I really don't understand how people are able to talk to anyone, let alone a therapist, about their past, or how they're feeling, especially if they are shameful or embarrassed. To me, that seems completely alien. I'm guessing this must be relatively common. This is why EMDR, which I haven't tried yet, appeals to me because there is no way I would do regular talk therapy for the reasons cited. Great video, BTW.
