I live in Fort Collins and love visiting Boulder to climb the flatirons and exercise around the area. It's impossible to move here but I would never want to. It's a wonderful place to visit if you are active and/or like beer and good restaurants.

I visited Denver for the second time this summer and
decided to tour Boulder and Colorado Springs since
they were close. I enjoyed both cities but loved Boulder!
I definitely vibe with the liberal leaning and being an
educator I fell in love with UC Boulder. The campus
is beautiful and well-kept.

Yes, Boulder is definitely very liberal leaning. This is why it has nicknames like "20 square miles surrounded by reality, " and "People's Republic of Boulder." Although, I say this as someone born and raised there, with the ever increasing cost of living it's becoming more and more the rich yuppie flavor of liberal. The influence of progressive hippie college kids is getting smaller and smaller.

An interesting thing about Boulder is that as liberal-leaning as it is it's never turned into the disaster area that places like San Francisco or LA are. The city/town has been able to hold the line and keep things under control while still being a great place to live!!
