Great progress. While most of my projects only require a few instruments, most require a lot of shelf or bench space. I attempt to keep cleanish shelves and bench by reducing the number of handy instruments. If I need something less popular, I retrieve it from across the room etc..😊

One bench at a time. The sticky wicket for me is always trying to keep one area neat while you clean and organize the next.

I'm also in that process of organizing and cleaning my workspace (also bedroom) after working on an important project. When deadlines are approaching, the last thing you care about is the mess. It was like 40 cm of layers of stuff on my desktop

Dave, I just took down my tool wall in prep for moving day, so I can totally appreciate a clean bench. It never lasts, though! You'll also find solder in the oddest places...

Nice! My office/shop at work has been a progress for the last 3 years, last week was a big accomplish ment of moving out a 3 by 8 work bench thats over 60 years old to the station garage (still on it's side for now) and putting in a smaller 2 by 5 bench, which will.hold for now. Next steps are a mini 6RU patch panel, peg board, bulletin board (ive repainted so i don't want tape and thumb tacks on my walls) and proper tool drawrs since I'm using old filing cabinets.

As long as you can still find stuff when you need it then it's a winner! 🎉 I always seem to do a good clean and then can't find stuff - 🤔 but I know it's around here somewhere safe and sensible...
