Rule #1 for merging onto a highway

When merging onto a highway when you're already doing 20 miles under the speed limit do not hit your brakes in the acceleration lane with no traffic coming (it is for accelerating) and do not immediately cut all the way over to the far left lane as soon as you can especially when you're doing 20 miles under the speed limit.
