EPRS EU History roundtable: President Lord Plumb: A Historical Appraisal

With this event, EPRS is launching a new series remembering former Presidents and Secretaries General of the European Parliament who have now passed away. Lord Plumb died in April 2022. This roundtable will be devoted to him as a British Conservative MEP and President of the European Parliament from 1987 to 1989. The discussion will bring together an eminent historian and a former MEP and Deputy Secretary-General of the European Parliament, who will share their personal memories of working with Lord Plumb. The event will include a video message from Parliament's current President, Roberta Metsola.
