For a minute, I was worried Emily had been killed/kidnapped when the texts ended....felt real stupid after remembering that Emily was the one who sent in the screenshots and stories 😂

This is why I roll my eyes when I hear “We lived in a neighborhood that was so safe we kept our doors unlocked.”
NO NEIGHBORHOOD IS SAFE ENOUGH TO DO THAT. Idk how anyone can sleep with their doors unlocked and no curtains on their windows. At least put up a cloth with nails or thumb tacks. Your safety is far more important.

Major props to Emily for keeping her cool and checking in with all her family members. She did a great job holding it all together until the police came. She might have been too terrified to text, but she made sure she did everything right first.

As a wise man once said, "most of the time someone breaks into your house while thinking you aren't home, they came to steal things, and if they break in with the knowledge you are inside, they've come to harm you." This isn't always the case, but it has some truth.

The way the girl confronted the dude in the second story was perfect.

I like how after each story this guy is reminding everyone “oh remember to lock your door” and just giving good advice so people will stay safe. Good on you man

Imagine if Jake just got caught trying to cheat and made up a story about losing his phone and sent his friend over to act shady

The final two stories perfectly sum up why people should actually phone each other and talk directly rather than text continually.

Imagine being Mr. Nightmares kids.
"Do you want Daddy to tell you a bedtime story?
"Hell no, I will never be able to sleep, ever".

Something like this could’ve happened to me with the first story. We are moving so my parents put up the house for sale and we’ll move out in June. One time someone scheduled an agent viewing (when the agent comes first before bringing the clients to check out the house) this meant we didn’t have to leave so my mom and I stayed in the basement. When he first arrived there were 3 other people with him a couple and a girl (I only saw the couple and the guy walk in since the other girl came in later) this was the first red flag. when they came into the basement my mom noticed the other girl who had walked in wasn’t in the basement. After they had left we heard a noise coming from upstairs so my mom decided to grab a charger as an excuse to see what was going on. The agent was on a phone call downstairs and looked surprised to see my mom. Then she went upstairs to find the girl taking pictures of our master bedroom, my mom asked what she was doing and she responded “Oh, this is just stuff for tiktok.” Which sounded really weird because who does that? We think they were taking pictures of the house to come back and steal and the guy was standing guard since he talked really loudly to let the girl know what was happening when talking to my mom and kept looking upstairs nervously. A few days after that situation we were going on a trip to Florida and brought all our valuables and prescription medicines just in case. Luckily they never came back, but it’s kinda a freaky coincidence that these stories could have been the same outcome. Plus my name is actually Emily too which is why I got chills when hearing this story.

That might’ve been the longest comment I’ve written ever, congrats if you read all of it

What I've learned/reinforced from these videos.
1. Keep all doors and windows locked
2. Own a firearm
3. Don't rely on police to get there instantly

I apparently scared the crap out of my friend once when I was home alone at my Nana's house. I currently live with my Nana, and my friend lives three states away.
Anyway. I was texting her, sending memes and catching her up on what I'd done during the week and vice versa, but as we were talking I heard scratching on one of the doors. I instantly grabbed my knife (Big knife that I keep in my bedside drawer) and stood up. My friend got worried when I stopped texting and started asking if I was okay. I told her I heard scratching on a door inside the house, and she immediately started freaking out and trying to call. When my phone went off, the scratching got louder and I started to panic as well. I slowly snuck out of my room and went to find where the sound was coming from (Stupid I know) and I found out it was coming from my aunt's room. I slowly opened the door and raised my knife for a line one strike when-

My dachshund ran out of the room past me and ran to the back door to go potty. I just closed the door and let my friend know the dog was stuck in one of the rooms and was trying to get out.
Still scared the shit out of me and my friend though
