I understand there is some research done within the last year, using simulations, that suggest that the loops are an optical illusion.

Very Interesting! Thanks! I am wondering if a coronal mass ejection's magnetic circulation usually follows the Sun's Magnetic Polarity? As you said in an earlier video that every 11 years the Sun's poles flip North to South then back. Therefore would it be fair to say that the coronal mass ejections would magnetically remain in the same orientation for the first 11 year period and then the next cycle of the sun would cause CMEs that had opposite magnetic field rotations? Or are CMEs more random, much like a rubber band breaking, depending on which side it starts to separate will dictate its rotational speed and axis and polarity? Thanks again! More power to you!
