The unique Alcatraz garden ignored by the public during the pandemic

The pandemic allowed nature to reclaim its space and Alcatraz island was not the exception. The old prison has gone through a dramatic evolution in the 50 years since it stopped functioning. At the time, the plant life served an aesthetic purpose only but it has shown it never needed human’s help to grow.
Alcatraz caretakers thought they would find a wasteland after the quarantine, but they would be facing a surprise.
