This scene really explains why Palpatine was so sure Luke would turn after he defeated Vader until he threw his lightsaber away. If he can get Jedi as wise Dooku & as powerful as Anakin to start the path down the Dark Side after killing in cold blood as the result of a duel, why shouldn’t it have worked a third time.

The bit where Yaddle lifts the door is perfection. Yaddle shakily lifting the door open with the force theme blasting in the background showing Yaddle's Jedi spirit. Palpatine cowering from the light and Dooku looking up at Yaddle with a remorseful look on his face. He knows that Yaddle is a good person and it's wrong to kill her but he thinks it's necessary for the betterment of the galaxy. Great scene, great show.

This scene made me so sad. Yaddle really did want to help Dooku. She was being a great friend. Unfortunately, he was irredeemable.

Fun fact, in legends, Yaddle has an orange lightsaber, which often means the user is a mediator and tries to solve problems by making peace rather than by fighting. I love how, even though her lightsaber color is green here, you can still see that in how she tries twice to talk Dooku back to the light side.

That ending was perfect. Yaddle lifts doors with The Force Theme playing that symbolize hope, Sidious cover himself from light as he is pure evil without any light in his soul and Dooku watches that with remorseful look on his face knowing that things he did were evil despite he believes that he did them for greater good. Also when door closes and light disappears it could also symbolize Dooku full turn into dark side.

I’ll never forget the face Dooku made when Sidious told Anakin to kill him. He really had no direction, no clear realistic end in sight and tales of the Jedi proved that. Just reacting to the situation around him at most thinking 3 or 4 steps ahead. When In reality Palpatine was thinking 101 steps ahead and to him Dooku was a dead man walking. Dooku failed himself and Qui-Gon. He could have changed everything right here brought true order and peace to the galaxy.

1:33 Look at this attention to detail right here of Palpatine hiding his identity to not reveal himself as Darth Sidious. In case if Yaddle would've escaped.

I like how Yoda and Yaddle respect their opponents by not going for the legs, they duel how everyone else would like to duel despite their height

Now, I know why yaddle wasn’t in the final scene of the phantom menace.

When yaddle lifted the door I expected sidious to just blast her out with lightning 😂

The animation has improved so much from the early days of Clone Wars

Yaddle didn't have much of a chance when Dooku made up his mind. Given her species and style you can tell she was raised in the order basically copying what had worked for Yoda. Dooku, in addition to being arguably the greatest duelist in the Order, had been Yoda's last padawan and knew his style well, reflected competently but imperfectly in Yaddle.

Subtle, but Palpatine’s little growl as it fades to the credits is just so. Damn. Cool. And it gives off the vibe that Dooku made a deal with the literal Star Wars embodiment of the devil.

no wonder Palpatine think so highly of himself. He thrives off of causing Mass confusion and turning the most powerful Jedi to the darkside. To be right under the nose of the most intuitive intellectual beings known as Jedi and yet they can't see him. I'd be high on myself too.

1:26 Why is Sidious acting like a vampire. I know he doesn’t want Yaddle to see his face but he’s being so dramatic 😂

0:57 "It is you who has run Dooku, into the arms of Evil."
Yaddle's got a point. Dooky deserved to be fed up with Jedi Council but that's not a reason to join their mortal enemies, who want nothing more than total opposite of everything Jedi stood for with full knowledge of what they were capable of. In the end, much like later Anakin, Dooku chose to believe in the sweet lies of Sith and their empires instead of bitter truths of Jedi and the Republic.

I never saw this coming, that's for sure. Yaddle was a great Jedi Master and one who was not corrupt and arrogant. But Dooku knew it was too late to turn back. Qui-Gon's death was the final straw and there was no going back to the Jedi who did nothing to help his beloved Apprentice.

I love how when Yaddle opens the door off her, Palpatine tries to hide himself from the light. Obviously he’s not weakened by literal sun but I think it’s a nice reference to how Christopher Lee used to play Dracula. Maybe I’m overthinking it but I just thought of that.

In the revenge of the sith novel darth sidious is refered to as the shadow by darth vader, that accusation fits well when sidious was blinded by the sun light when yattle forced the door open
