Welcome to the World Athletics Watch Party. Remember you can join the conversation on Twitter using the #WatchWorldAthletics hashtag.

Living up to his favourite’s billing, Christian Coleman dominated the 100m to underscore his ambitions to stake claim to the ‘world’s fastest man’ title in the post-Usain Bolt era.

His style isn’t quite reminiscent, but the manner of his 9.76 winning performance at Khalifa Stadium was. In World Championships history, only Bolt’s legendary 9.58 world record at the 2009 edition in Berlin has been faster.

Blake is the most underrated sprinter ever. He's the second-fastest man of all time 9.69. How unlucky of him to be in the same era as Bolt.

What’s more impressive is Justin Gatlin being in his late 30’s and still running faster than most youngsters. True living legend

Justlin Gatlin is a living legend...at the age 37, he still can run under 10s.

I am amazed to see Gatlin . He won Gold in 2004 Olympic . And still keep on running very good at the age of 37 . He is really one of the greatest sprinter considering his medals tally on international level . Though he was banned from 2006 to 2010 .

I never liked Justin Gatlin even before when he was found to be guilty (of banned substance), BUT his COURAGE to change, and to challange. At 37 his ability to still be at the top is nothing short of miracle. Unimaginable amount of hardwork and commitment. I RESPECT this man so much.

I’ve never seen so many camera angles... I think we need this for every race for the rest of our lives. I feel like I was there.

De Grasse is such a strong finisher. If he perfects his start, he'll be running sub 9.8

We must give a credit to the IAAF for the wonderful show. This is the way how you attract viewers! The IAAF marketing team must be very proud what they have accomplished in 2019 Doha WC. Bravo!

It is impressive that Gatlin still can run shoulder to shoulder with the new generation and come out as equal as any of them. WOW!
