Bought the new braided line and followed this to a tee. This 74 year old lady achieved success. Thank you for your detailed instructions. I subscribed for more DIY on my 60 year old home. Easy peasy for me.

Straight and simple. Appreciate the video and the instructions. I wanted to make sure I only had to turn off the valve line and not totally shut off the whole house water supply and you answered that question in this video.

For me I just needed to be sure what way to turn the top connection. Simple I know. But it was stuck and I started to doubt myself. This was just the video I needed. Thanks!

Good video, for first time people, you may want to say that the line to be replaced should be bent in order to get the top washer off the toilet bowl piece, mine was so snug I could not budge it, finally had to call a plumber, he did the job in 5 minutes, after I told him I removed the top nut and the nut on the valve I could not get the piece off thinking maybe it is integrated with the inside pieces, nope, all you have to do is bent it and the piece will come away. Mine was so snug, it would not come away so had to call a plumber and spend $200 vs. $5 for the part.

What is the trick to getting the supply line nut to attach? I've spent an hour and it'll catch a little bit but if I turn on the water it sprays everywhere. I can't get it to fully connect.

Like every tutorial for anything looks easy. What a lovely spacious area he has to work in. When you can’t even fit your hand under there and the nut isn’t protruding it’s rather more difficult.

I came here hoping to find out whether or not teflon tape should be used on the plastic connector.

There are a couple of other omissions. Would be nice to see a longer video that includes taping, full draining of the tank (including using a sponge or towel to soak all tank water up), and advice on how tightly to torque each side. Wasn't hard to find, but I wish I didn't have to go elsewhere.

Thanks for sharing this video. For the pipe that goes into wall, I notice it jiggles a bit as you are replacing the supply line. Is there a way to stabilize it or should it be movable like that?

Just watched and subscribed. Will attempt this in the next week. If I'm successful, it will be thanks to you! I'll let you know!

What do you call the inlet that goes into the basin that you screw the pipe onto?

I had the line dripping and then fixed it but now some condensation on the line. Is this normal or will I have to replace the line?

Any tips/tricks on how to remove a stuck water line from the shut off valve? Prefer not to replace the shut off valve and I don’t have a hack saw for cutting the stuck nut.

I have a braided nylon one that is stuck. The part to the water supply just keeps spinning and not coming off the thread. How can I get it off? Thank you!
