Help! My Yamaha MODX still has a defect, even after updates!

Wow I have the exact same problem. Global tuning is fine, recently updated firmware, no settings tempered with but yet the problem still persists.
I have read similar problems that have been fixed by checking/replacing the pitch bend and mod wheel potentiometers. I think the fix is around that area. I am yet to take it to repair but my area has no skilled personnel but once I do I will update. Hope that info helps

Update 2.52 might fix this issue.

Your pitchbend potentiometer is faulty. Had the same problem with my MODX6. Changing the potentiometer of the pitchbsnd fixed the problem.

It could be as simple as changing your global tuning back to equal temperament. Do you have strange smells emitting from the unit? Devices placed the board that the manufacturer specifically states to avoid doing?

Mine had the same exact issue. I tried everything but nothing worked. Took it to get the insides cleaned and haven’t had a problem since 👌🏾. I think it’s something to do with the wiring of the pitch bend wheel

On the Korg M1 there was a setting where you could adjust the sound of individual buttons in order to be able to play Arabic melodies, for example. I don't know whether your device has such settings, so it couldn't be a mistake, just a setting by mistake.

Modx or Modx+ ? In a few forums I've been looking into, the issue stems from the pitch bend. Easy way to verify is to set the pitch bend + - values both to 0, save the sound and load the sound again. If it retains proper pitch then its the pitch bend.

I just sold mine and purchase the korg krome ex 73 instead, I have tried everything from firmware updates to cleaning both wheels. In the last two gigs it just went out of tune luckily I had a spare keyboard.

I'm about to buy one tomorrow for $150 it has issues where it only plays through midi in the screen is acting up
The owner says that it's going to be $700 fix but I doubt it

Did u check the elements of each part.? Sounds off when you press harder on the keys. I had a similar problem when i added a bass to my performance

Can you check if your pitchbend wheel is fully functional? Cannot think of an explanation for this phenomenon, unless the pitchbend wheel is somehow involved.

I had to open mine and disconnect the pitchbend, power on and off then reconnect and that problem was solved

Hola he visto esa clase de fallas en otros teclados, normalmente es problema del pitch por eso afina y desafina, normalmente es eso.
