My ring wouldn’t budge. I ended up bending it and breaking it, causing a leak, and having to call a plumber. The faucet was 20 years old.

Don’t forget to look at the old cartridge as it’s being pulled out to see which side is marked H hot, and slide in the new cartridge with the H on the same side.
