*For* *Windows*
-Go to your system drive and navigate to *C:\Users\Public\Documents*
-In this location you'll see the *NI* *Resources* folder
-Right-click on the NI Resources folder and *CUT* it.
-Paste it on your desk top. I relocated it, rather than deleting it, because if for some reason something goes wrong, I can return the folder back to the original location.
You might have it where it won't let you delete it because its in use.
Just restart your computer. Don't launch anything. Then go to the folder and move the NI Resources folder.
Then start either Kontakt, Kontrol or Maschine.
It should rebuild the NI Resources folder.
Once you run one of those three programs and it shows that everything is ok, you can delete the NI Resources folder from your desktop.

Great video! Thanks for sharing. I have Windows but I just went in and deleted NI Resources and then restarted Maschine and now everything is back. Thanks!

I've just spent hours on the forums. Deleting NI resources didn't work for Komple Kontrol for me. I have zero images showing! I'll give your slower method a try. Fingers crossed. "IF" it works I then have to figure out how to fix corrupted images in several of my 3rd party sample libraries. It's usually just grey boxes or mixed up images. Very annoying. And, one day, maybe someone will figure out how to get KK & Kontakt to load "quickly". While going through the forums I laughed to see some people were complaining that it took from 12 to up to 30 seconds to load KK or Kontakt. So precious. I think I might literally kill for such speed. Today it has take 3-4 minutes each time. Certainly a productivity killer. Not to mention enthusiasm for making music.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Maschine 2\PAResources\image and copy all the files in that folder over to C:\Users\Public\Documents\NI Resources\image. Then I did a rescan of library and they were now showing on the Studio screens. Hope this helps for those of you on PC

This also worked when changing to a new computer in 2024.
Had to copy my images from said location from my old Mac (2019) to my new MacBook Pro M3 - Images folder.
Have all sounds on an external drive and the installer points to that location but missed every other image.

So I was able to figure out my own problem.

For the people who are on Windows, and are doing the first step by going> C:\Users\Public\ Public Documents\NI Resources, and deleting or moving the NI Resources file to the front screen as a shortcut, it does not regenerate after opening Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt, or Maschine 2 which happend to me.

Try this and see if works. It worked for me!
Open 2 File Explorer So you can have them side by side on your screen.

On the first file explorer, left side, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments -here you'll see all the libraries. Click on one of the file libraries that you are missing which will take you to \PAResources\Image\
There will show library image by clicking it. That file is the one you copy and paste it on the other file explorer section.

On the second file explorer, right side, go to C:\Users\Public\ Public Documents\NI Resources\Images -there will show all your libraries files. (Stay on that page)

*Note* when copying files from the left and pasting them on the right, make sure you're copying just the image file and not the whole file. That's why you click any library you're missing and you go to \PAResources\Image there is where you copy. You'll know when by clicking it, it'll show you images instead of more files.

I couldn't find anything in NI website or YouTube about this problem, so I hope this help you all. Regardless thank you beMOTION.dESIGN for your help!

Hi Thanks. This worked in Standalone mode, but icons are still missing in the plugin (in Logic). Does that access different resources?
