I’m doing my best to find outlets who know and tell the truth about this conflict, and it is an extremely difficult task. Why must everyone skew the truth? Does every news source have an agenda these days? It seems so, as everyone is spinning one tale or another, with bits of truth mixed in. I had hoped to be pleasantly surprised with Forbes, but unfortunately I have to keep searching.

Correction about Ronald Regan won the cold war. He didn't win, the Soviet Union lost because of its weak economy structures. Regan didn't win because of US's weaponry, but the US outlasted the Soviet Union on the economy front.

I can see Steve Forbes is championing for a defence-led American economy. Wouldn't it be better if America finds something more appropriate to the American economy such as building up its infrastructures, and well, manufacturing sector, but not the weapon factories.

Another warmonger telling us $800 billion is not enough🤣🤣🤣 The US army had 20 million rounds of artillery in stock and that is not counting the Marine's stockpile. It is true that we can't produce the same amount of weapons this year that we have/will give Ukraine, but that is what stockpiles are for🤪😝🤗

The naivety of sending top of the range cutting Edge weapons into Ukraine is a massive mistake as you prepare your potential enemies to face such weapons. The advantage of sending such weapons into battle in Ukraine will not necessarily yield the result that these politicians who failed to seek peace would want.

I wonder if a vast US commitment to spending might not "lead the way" to further spending by our NATO allies, but rather lead allies to coat-tail on the US rearmament. What definite mechanisms do we have to be sure all the allies hit 2% from now on? The case in point is Germany, which is promising big, but has not allocated any money or new contracts (nor sent promised monies and weapons from existing stocks to Ukraine yet... very worrisome for future burden sharing in NATO).
