I have lived in the rural parts of PA my whole life and I am 76. I love the countryside, the Amish farmland and the mountains. This state has it all. I have Pennsylvania in my blood.

Born and raised in PA but I have lived in Texas for the last 20 years and I hate it here..I'm ready to come home...I miss the seasons and the good food...I can deal with snow over 120 degree heat.. You can always put more clothes on but you can only take so much off. 🤣

The biggest thing you forgot about deer crossing, is of one passes, there very well could be 6 or 7 more behind them crossing you didn't see.

Winter weather varies dramatically depending on the region. Northern counties and Southwestern PA get snow in annual amount mentioned, however Southcentral and Eastern PA see snow sporadically and in much lesser amounts. Harrisburg area for example got less than six inches total in the winter of 2023. And Erie, right on the lake, can be like Buffalo at times.

I've seen a few of your videos already and they're super informative. Looking to escape Florida and PA has been on my radar for a bit. Thank you for the information, definitely have given me some things to think about.

about wildlife: Wasps are also common, especially in spring or summer, they stung me twice and my mother once and I absolutely hate them.
THERE WAS A HIVE INSIDE OF THE CLOSET WHEN WE JUST MOVED IN.
They are yellow jackets and they are usually found near flowerbeds, get ready for them.
(The stings don’t hurt too much but the swelling does.)

Most of Pennsylvania has only about 2 weeks worth of winter anymore.

If you’re from the south you already know what humidity is and PA isn’t as humid as Alabama is so that isn’t a deal breaker but then again I’m a small town guy, but living in major city that would be rough.

The seasonal affective disorder runs strong in lots of Pennsylvanians. The dark winter days are long and can last through February into March

Western Pennsylvania is far different from the eastern half of the state.

Weather-wise we get both the best and the worst of all seasons. The biggest complaints are that spring and fall are both usually very short, summer is hot and sticky and winter lasts many months from November through April with some snow and cold but huge servings of dark, cold, rainy, dreary weather. That's the biggest drawback. Yes, we have amazing fall and spring days and a lot of cold but sunny and nice winter days but winter comes and never leaves.

I'm from N.J., although i lived in Pennsylvania for 2-3 years working as contractor. It left a lasting impression on how much different the laws and people are. The melow pace and kinder attitude plus the historical sites, beautiful landscape, plus the awesome wild life . My goal is to retire up north Pennsylvania, up north N.Y. or main. Those 3 are very similar weather, people, and geography
