Something that strikes me personally is how the Orphan looks like it has already grown old inside it's mother's womb, as is apparent by it's overgrown nails and gaunt appearance. Maybe to show how the Hunter's Nightmare is taking an unimaginable toll, even on the eldritch spirit upholding it.

Allways felt bad for killing this guy. Imagine waking up, crawling out from your mother to see her dead. Looking around confused where you are when sudenly some stranger aproaches you with a weapon drawn.

The screams also make me think hes in agony or just very scared.

The fact that his placenta has a grip that perfectly accommodates one hand usage makes it even more scary

If you ever noticed how the phases emphatises the feelings of the orphan. In the first face, his screams are of fear and terror, fighting for his life and the music is calm and sad, something that hits you in the heart making you say "Why am I killing him?"
Then, in the second phase, the music became violent and the orphan is more aggressive and raged, as he becomes a real monster and the hunter now fights for his life, the screams of the orphan too are now more aggressive.
Absolutely a masterpiece...

there's something that I love about his theme. very uncommonly for Bloodborne, the first phase of his theme doesn't even feel disturbing -for the most part-

It's just sad. you'd feel pity for him (if he didn't attack you with his placenta while screeching like a demon). it gives me a lonely and tragic feeling. like Gehrman's theme in a way.

Man that theme is such a genuine masterpiece of emotion and tragedy… Makes me a grown man tear up a little everytime and I am not one to cry even for a dude. I love the character so much… I wish he could have gotten a happier ending… Rest in bottomless peace you poor poor cursed thing.

I always assumed the Orphans placenta weapon was actually a giant fish hook that was covered in flesh.

I still find it hilarious that the most difficult boss fight in Bloodborne is basically a fight against a newborn baby.

The Orphans father was a hunter! How did i not realize this before, the shape og the weapon is reminiscent of flesh on top of what once was an axe, the humanoid form, the cloak

damn brings back awesome memories helping other players fight this guy, the music, the build up, the lore of Orphan makes me so sad for its existence :(

It's really surprising that Orphan has 7 toes, but standard 5 fingered hands (although they do have the spiked finger-like bony growths emerging near the elbows).
