I love growing basil! You're right, basil is so chill. I live in a tropical country and I water my basil a little bit twice a day. Recently, I had to spend a couple of days away from home and I missed watering it, and yeah, it looked so sad and limp. But several hours after watering, the leaves were up and lively again. Thank you so much for all this wonderful information! I grew basil years ago while living in GA and didn't remember what type of pot I put them in. I'm now living in the mountains of Colorado and my childhood friend (we grew up in Michigan😊) sent me some of her harvested sweet basil seeds! So far they are looking great in a seed starting tray. Thanks for the info. My friend gave me a container of it and I put it in a pot on the deck. It went limp (no water) so now i am watering it more. Cooking with it tonight! YUM!!

I'd love some growing season tips on pruning to keep it from flowering. Mine pops with flowers and that changes the basil flavor. Also pest management: like should I use sevin? Or some other method to keep the bug beasties from chewing on my leaves?
