German shells can't damage any barrel for some reason meanwhile if something pases near the panther barrel it is gone forever

I've heard this theory from others but basically, when a barrel makes fast small movements the game calculates the armor rating much higher than it is (like higher than anyhting in the game) or just doesn't calculate the damage.

I think this is trying to simulate the shell deflecting off the muzzle break, and losing its own structural integrity in the process while not doing significant damage to the functionality of the cannon.... Or it could be a glitch. I choose to believe the former, it allows me to keep my immersion intact.

I think we should start making armour out of gun barrels, T-34 and Tiger driver optics, tracks etc. Considering they absorb even the mightiest of shells and explosions.
