I hit a Japanese tank's (Chi-Nu or Chi-To) turret's side with my Panzer IV. It failed to penetrate. Both have 25mms (give or take an additional 20mm for angling and an additional 20mm for Gaijin logic) of armour while I was using the PzGr 39 (around 130mm of pen in that range). I feel your pain.


Edit: Two Years Later, I'm still being gaijined. A Sherman somehow ricochet'ed a point-blank shot to the hull from my Panzer IV H. Ten meters away.

The only half-decent shot on protection analysis was the second one (the other two were fired from a fairly higher position than the Sherman's gun barrel) and that measured 98 mm of steel.
I said "half-decent" because the Panther II was clearly more angled in-game than it was in PA, meaning it would have easily exceeded 100 mm on that spot, resulting in a non-pen.
I see nothing wrong here.

It's nice how we players spend hours and hours to learn the maps, tanks and enemy armor weakspots...just to get gaijined anyway. Stuff like this is really detrimental to the overall game experience.
