One night in 1981 or 1982 God woke me up twice. I heard an audible voice call my name. I said, "Yes, Lord?" The first time He told me to pray. The second time He told me who to pray for. Yes, He spoke to me audibly.

It’s not about feeling God. It’s about knowing God is always with you. If you want to hear his words, listen to his words or read the words in RED in the Bible! That is exactly what God wants us to do! Spend time with him. Everyday! If you don’t have time make time for God. If God has time for you then you have time for Jesus! Don’t make up excuses for why you don’t, choose to make time for Jesus!

It is true that we are in extremely noisy places, we can feel overwhelmed and run away to a tranquil place... i love how this story has been left for us to read and remind us of the importance to listen... and yes, in the quiet place before our God, we can wait to hear His whispering and peace... Thanks for this message- i needed to hear it. Lost my Mom 3 years ago- it will be 3 years in a few weeks. She died Dec 15, 2020 from a heart arrhythmia. It was sudden and very sad. I was very close to my Mom- I've had a hard time dealing with her death and go through times of depression. I haven't felt close to the Lord lately but my mind is always so busy and i'm not quiet enough. I did hear the Lord voice once many years ago when I was going through another time of deep depression. I think it was an angel though because the voice said to my mind- "Vincent let God love you." I think if it was the Lord himself he would have said "Let me love you" instead of let God love you. In any case I definitely know the difference- or should say- can tell and hear the difference between God or an angel speaking and the Devil- the Devil has a wicked way of speaking- he makes fun or puts you down or mocks you in his tone. Accuses you- I guess is another way of putting it. God doesn't accuse- if he needs to rebuke you for sin he does it in a kind sweet way.
