If you have to strong-arm your way to use a common household product, it's not a good product. This woman is the average consumer, middle-aged, not visibly disabled as far as we can tell, and since this product was a gift, we can only assume it was sold on shelf and not bought from a fancy professional chef hoity-toity store. She should be able to use this with ease, and without throwing her entire body weight onto it with the threat of breaking. Either its faulty, or just a bad design.

Recently purchased one. The thing can be disassembled down to each blade. She might have the attachment or blades on the wrong side unless its a faulty product entirely.
It really shouldn't take that much pressure.

I personally love this product as someone who is disabled and has chronic illnesses. It makes cutting up stop easier. I don’t have the ability to stand for long or spend much time cooking without being in excruciating pain and this helps a lot
