I think D.O.R.F is something worth mentioning, it looks just fantastic and really captures that 90s RTS vibe so well. Base building & resource collection, lots of really cool giant units with plenty of variety, mentions of things like a railway system. What they've shown just seems great and it seems to have so many cool planned features.

I am suprised you haven't mentioned D.O.R.F. Real-Time Strategic Conflict in the beyond section. If you haven't heard about that one yet it got a steam page with a little trailer that. Got a pretty interesting art style.

I'm looking most forward to Tempest Rising, Dust Front, AoM Retold, Sins 2 and D.O.R.F. I really hope RTS developers are learning the lesson that a focus on sweaty competitive online play at breakneck speed is what drove most casual players (and thus income) away from RTS.

Broken Arrow and Dust Front are the most stand out for me. One is military rts that looked more promising than Warno, and the other one reminds me of Tiberium Wars with darker colour.

Im always glad to see I'm not the only one constantly thinking about rts games. I just hope these games come out great and possibly help revive the genre.

Whoever you are, Broken Arrow is worth looking into. Release shifted to early 2025, but there will be beta November 12. I've hooked up three of my friends on it during previous beta with them being completely alien to RTS genre. It is one of the most polished games I've seen. Extremely well balanced at least during early beta. Does not require crazy micro to be decent. Insane variety in unit composition and so on and so forth

Cataclismo rocks! I’ve never seen rts game do so much with verticality. Base building is unique and interesting. Art style is great and story seems promising. If you can, please cover it! The devs deserve it.

The game I'm personally most excited about, but isn’t on this list, is Silica.

It's a rts/fps hybrid. It's in my opinion extremely promising. Beautiful graphics and atmosphere. You can buy and play the EA already, but mind you, a lot of content development still needs to be done.

The developer is very active in interacting with the community, and has a great vision for the game.

Gates of pyre is one of the RTS games I have been looking forward to for weeks now, I saw an announcement that it was launching for public testing on 2nd of August

There is also a new RTS from "Syrian Warfare" creators called "Front Edge". It technically have been released this April and was pretty much playable, but it's mostly multiplayer and constantly receiving new features, obviously being a groundwork for something bigger - roadmap suggests it becoming a premium game with singleplayer campaign and editor at some point in the future (or most likely serve as a platform for paid expansions with various campaigns). Until then it probably won't get to Steam though and currently only available on the developer's website or VK Play to download.
