Would it not be easier to write 127 OCT in BIN first then from BIN go to base 4
So 127 would be
0101 0111 in BIN
Then from there we can convert it to base 4 by splitting it to
01 01 01 11
To get 01 01 01 3
Or just simplified to 1113

This method does not work for every combination. For example, consider the following: convert 638 base 10 to base 8. The correct result (checking with any converter) is 1176. However, using the method just shown in the video the result most of you would encounter would be 1332 or at least closer to this rather than the correct answer.
