EDM Tips Student Track Breakdown - David Nealon 'Remember' (Milesy Remix)
Показать описание
Bit of a different one today! Here's a track breakdown from two EDM Tips Academy students; @davidnealon7928 and Adam Miles (A.K.A. Milesy).
A year ago, David started producing music and joined the family at EDM Tips. Now, he's just released his second album "Looking Back - What a Year in Remixes", and all proceeds go towards his charity – a youth outreach program in Melbourne, Australia, that helps homeless children and young adults.
Here is the backstory of this remix from David:
"This remix is the story of a young person we’ve been working with in particular. She’s had her child taken from her by DHHS as she was homeless, and we’ve been working with her to get her back on her feet. She’s worked so hard: put herself through leadership courses – literally climbed mountains as part of some of our team building things – got heavily into mentorship and learning all she can. She has been working and is now going back to school to learn to be a social worker herself. I’ve been teaching her to drive, but in lockdown she’s had to catch the train to see her child as we couldn’t get it finished (working on it now). She had a court case recently to get her kid back but lost the case. This song is about her and her struggles to the point of the bridge. She starts to sing but can’t keep going so the pianist (someone she doesn’t know) comes in to help. They reset and she builds the strength to carry on with the support and gets on the train to go see her kid once again. She’ll be ready to move on by herself soon but will always be welcome back whenever she wants. Hopefully we can help her get her child back in the meantime. Need to get that driver's license."
