Once again we are saying goodbye to summer annuals, and we're taking the deck-boxes into fall! I am using sweet violas that we grew along with colorful Ascot Rainbow spurge and funky cardoon.

Awe poor Ms. Brenna, speedy recovery! That was the first thing I noticed, “where’s my Brenna girl today “. Yes, I’ve adopted her as mine 😊 Everything looks so fresh and pretty!

Hi Friend! I, too, have been transitioning the garden all week. Got the plants i purchased at Creekside on Saturday in their new homes and moved a couple of perennials to better locations. On Sunday I realized an arborvitae was dying and knew it had to come out. Sad to see it go but now i have all kinds of new opportunities for new plants. We actually like the open feel with that big plant gone. Wish i could come back down to Creekside for a couple plants but i will wait to spring. Meanwhile i will fill the empty space with tulips...my delivery came in this week with hundreds of bulbs 😊so they need to get in the ground. Our garden beds are a riot of colorful tulips every spring...so gorgeous. This is a busy time of year for all gardeners but isn't it exciting to remove the summer plants (including the plum dandies), tidy things up, and add new color with violas. Love love love this time of year. The two of you did a great job with the planter boxes...very lovely! Bye for now. Susan in Kernersville 🌾🍂🐿️🍁🎃

I absolutely love those superbenias, the color is so pretty. Im definitely going to get me some next spring. Pink cashmere ❤ Poor Brenna, she will be fine. We had our little dashound spay back in Feb. she was 7 months old. She did fine, cant even see her little scar. But she worked for about 6 days. Acted like she couldnt jump up on the recliner, until she thought we weren't watching, then up she would jump easy as pie. Prayers for little Brenna. The deck boxes look great, so fresh and clean.

Looks like a perfectly gorgeous day to be outside.
I'm feeling a bit relieved. I say this time of year, we have to do triage and change our task lists as the days run out.
Today, I got a lot of my tulip bulbs planted. Still more to do, but tomorrow is our last day in the upper 50s and all next week it's in the low 30s.
NOW Mother Nature graces us with rain. I wish she'd use a schedule. Where was she in the hot summer when months went by without any rain?
My grass seed has germinated and the open ground has a nice lush green fuzz. 😊 I'm almost ready to stay indoors for the next six months. Almost.

Hey guys - so glad to hear that Miss B is doing well. The dogs in the family watch your great videos with us - all except our big boy Osbert. He is a border collie, great pyrenees, St. Bernard cross. He is a rescue and has some emotional issues :)) He watches for Miss B - then runs to the t.v. to bark if he is around. God Bless you folks - thank you for the great videos, and keep rockin'.

Prayers for B. Jenny, I love the way you and Jerry work together. My husband and I do this too. We help each other with many of our projects. Everything looks great.

I like voluptuous plants for summer and more subdued fall/winter plants Nov-Mar. We live in a temperate climate, so we are lucky to have quite an assortment of color for holidays, Thanksgiving through Easter.

The fullness of your deck boxes are a personal goal for me. Absolutely lovely! I did the PW Red superbena in a 24" pot and it took over as well, love it! Wishing Brenna a quick a smooth recovery! The fall boxes look so pretty!

The planter boxes look so nice. Like so many others, I’m in the process of clearing out my summer plantings and getting ready for winter. I love this time of year!

Our falls are so short here in Mi. That I won’t plant any fall containers. Besides fall being so short it’s rainy and dreary and I don’t spend much time out there to be able to enjoy them. I live vicariously through you watching your pretties being planted 😍🎃🍁🍂💚🙃
