Anyone who has bought pvc pipe knows that each cute little piece is amazingly cheap. But it adds up incredibly fast at the check out!

Schedule 40 pvc is not terribly expensive. But at home depot this rack worth of material and fittings is probably like $50.

You will need to support the middle so it doesn’t bow outward. I’ve done this before and the weight and the heat from the sun made it bow

I made a radiator water heater out of one it had 141 degrees of heat. Still works 15 years later. Used a 10-gallon RV water heater and coolant and a small water pump. I roll it around the garage.

I agree with many folks here, easier and less expensive to just buy a clothes rack. With the exception that we could say " Look what I did" and feel happy about it. 😊

Bought a metal clothes rack and the thing rusted in less than a year. I used PVC pipe and ran all my phone wires, and internet cables through it underground to my modular home 25 years ago and my water softener too and l haven't had any problems with them.
