If they want you back in the office so badly, they can pay for your commute

Home is only for 7 hours day? That's where we play with our children and laugh with our families. Miss me with that noise.

These people are clueless. Reasons that work at home is good: 1) 10 hours or more saved commuting, 2)Money saved not commuting 3) If you work IT, you can demo your work to 1000 people using Zoom and they see exactly what they would see at their computers 4)People looking at their watches as 5 approaches to not miss their ride aren't productive for at least the last 15 minutes of their work day. 5) At lot more relaxed if you don't have to slug your way in to work. GOOD GRIEF THESE PEOPLE !!!!

It's too dangerous to leave home these days. Criminals don't receive consequences.

Working from home is way better. These guys act like cameras and video chat aren't ways to "get together" and "collaborate". Work is not the only place to socialize with people. Get a life outside of work.
Not sure how sitting in traffic 12 hours a week is I think they mad because they have to go to the studio....

Both the gentleman and Tomi are wrong. Some of us don’t need to be in the office to thrive, get over it and with the times.

Not all jobs and not all people are designed to work from home however, before 1800’s technology, most people worked at home and left to trade goods or go to church.

Working from home has been great for last couple years because my health prevented me from being able to work because I can’t drive anymore. I was able to do a little work at home and was hoping to find something full time. Guess that is out. Some people can benefit from it but it should be an exception not a rule.

I disagree. Working from home is great and I work for state government. I can go to the office if I want but commute in traffic, sit in a cubicle under fluorescent lights vs being in my home, looking at trees, sunlight coming in, I'll take work from home. Our production is great, our ability to communicate and interact is easy, meetings are easy. It would be the same at office as I have to submit questions via online even in office. And mgmt is working to build in ways for coworkers to interact by org social, workout, bike rides, it's newish territory n change is good. As well we have no time to socialize in office as we are pushed to keep our cases moving at all times. I think this cry to return to office is more about commercial real estate crunch and taxes as there might be a serious economic issue coming but we all have to adjust in life so figure it out. My circumstances could eventually change, never know when new management comes in what could happen. We wouldn't all fit at the same time in office anyway as there are not enough cubicles. I've worked out of home for decades, busted my body doing physically and mentally draining work. Working from home is awesome!

Hey, my house is my castle, i like it. It keeps me from spending money.
I work from home, i message my coworkers, i clean, i get dressed and do my hair in the morning, spend time with my family and my wife.
I do miss friends, but, things have been weird getting together with people since the pandemic.
There's nothing wrong necessarily with being at home. But, human interaction is needed

My social skills are quite fine thank you. And I haven't worked in an office or factory, etc, of any kind for over 25 years. My office is in my home in a separate room called ????

My Office.

I see nothing wrong with working at home. Good points made here but I think it’s up to the individual.

I disagree. People who work from home don't have deal with toxic work environment. Regarding socializing people get that when they go out to run errands. Others actually have to meet clients in person if they work in a trade. Not everything can be done online.

I watched an interview with Elon Musk, who is not in favor of people working from home. During that interview, Musk made the comment - what makes these people think that's it ok for them to work from home while telling others that it is not ok for them to do so.

No one I know who is working out of their home has ever said such a comment and thinks that it is not ok for others to work out of their home. Not a single one.

That comment by Musk was completely absurd.

Whatever efficiency is lost by employees slackint off because they aren't under the supervision will pail in comparison to the amount lost by all the pointless meetings in office settings.

Your workers bees are still gonna do the work. 20% will do 80% of the work regardless of where the work is done.
