I think that there needs to be a major distinction between fighting against police brutality and the police themselves. It is extremely important that our police feel safe and to do their job and protect our people. However, I think it is also essential that we do speak out against the minority of police officers that do take part in police brutality and racist law enforcing.

the police need to take responsibility over the negativity they are receiving. no one just wakes up one day and decides cops are bad. they have to actually do something to make people believe they are bad. and its up to them to find out exactly what that is.

It's not about police hatred, it's about normalizing caution toward police. In the same way they're cautious of honesty we should have a right to be cautious of them. There should be MUCH greater protection for citizens and ways to prevent, combat (non physically but self defense should also be reasonable), and serve justice to violent and corrupt police officers. Some changes have been made but we are still long, long away from REAL change. I wonder, has Tomi Lahren ever even been put in handcuffs to actually know the difference between a good and bad cop? And no I don't ask that because she's a white blonde woman. I've been arrested 5 times for petty charges and being caught up trying to help 2 exes with addiction. Judge that if you want. But my point in saying that is I've had a gun put on me, have been ripped out my car on several occasions, was stalked and harassed for years, one team of cops it was because I was dating a black man and they were racists, another team of narcs were trying to set me up to catch someone I used to know. Every single time I've been arrested they have been brutal with me. For non violent petty charges. When I say police violence can happen to anyone, I mean it can happen to anyone!!
