I'm endlessly amazed at what this guy can do... The musicality, technique, the style. But what really gets me is how unbelievably CLEAN it is. He could play a ZZ Top tune or something like this, and it's just as clean and even. I'm sure there's some kind of gear/compression at work, but it always sounds 100% smooth and fluid.

I'm not going to lie, when I bought my bass in Jan and started looking into bass guitar, I heard about you and I listened and thought it was all flash. Now that I'm more experienced with bass, I'm really liking your technique, I think it's the most appropriate way to play it. A good example is, I'm learning finger style for electric guitar and this technique works great for both instruments, so I see how, Charles, you just push the boundaries of the bass, like guitarists do with finger style. So the fact I like bass more than electric and all I see now is you just pushing the limits. Your becoming my favorite Bassists and I study your play style more than any other musicians
