Hey guys: I forgot that the putty primer dupes tatcha silk canvas so I was wrong in the video! 😂 Also, one more dupe I just came across: the Elf Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray apparently closely resembles Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Airbrush Setting Spray. I haven’t tried it yet but hear this. Exciting because I love the Charlotte Tilbury!! 👏

These videos are very informative for me. I wouldn’t know about most of these dupes or the law suits that f it was for you.

I do appreciate a good quality dude. I am on a strict budget due to high medical bills. If I didn’t have access to the dupes I wouldn’t be able to afford the makeup I need.

As a designer I understand how frustrating it would s to have others copy your work. I’m n my opinion, Thrive may sue after they see the outcome of the other lawsuit. Thrive does make the BEST tubing mascara I have tried. I’m can’t imagine anyone making a better version. I haven’t found one yet.

The Australian company MoCo Cosmetics really is pushing the limits with the dupes. The packaging they use is almost identical to the original product. I am surprised they haven’t be sued yet by many different brands.

Thank you for this great video! Have a safe lovely weekend.❤️❤️❤️

Just goes to show you how much these brand names are charging ridiculous prices for their so called packaging especially if the formulas are equivalently similar and perform similarly. I mean why pay the extra money when everything else is so expensive right now, who needs a brand name? Not me unless I can get through a subscription box like FAB FIT FUN or TRENDMOOD BOX

Girl…. I wish they’d figure out how to dupe that YSL primer 😂 😂😂

I think they’ll reach a compromise in that they(benefit) would allow them to sell what they have left of the product and/or change packaging and maybe settle out of court or maybe they(benefit) will take it to court for something bigger I don’t know but moving forward I think if benefit wins this lawsuit it will definitely hurt elf and they will have to consider changing up their game to figure out how to dupe in a more sly way I mean if they(benefit) wins who’s to say other companies won’t come after them right?

It is really hard to make a ethical call on these ‘dupes’. All brands are trying to respond to similar skin concerns and customer preferences for makeup so would naturally be creating similar products. But I think they go too far when they match the packaging or trying to do that to make it clear what it matchs to draw customers. As a consumer I love the lower prices but those are only possible if you can skip the expensive research and development resources and just copy someone else’s work. I do feel like packaging adds to the ridiculous price of the luxury brands but they also have to recover the cost of product creation and that is what makes it hard for me. I like companies that keep innovating new things and like to support that but the money 😢

I used to be an avid fan of ilmakiage and Charlotte tilbury but since I retired, I think about it heavily before purchasing anything nowadays.

The thing is that both makeup and skincare products are in price ranges that the average consumer cannot or is unwilling to deal with.

Of course they're duping with the $6 price point. That has to be manufactured for like 25 cents not much room for a marketing and development department LOL

Sending prayers. I don't really do dupes. I have sensitive skin. Sometimes dupes go too far. Take care ❌️ ⭕️

I love Charlotte Tilbury products and they are pretty good but like all the other brands out there, not everything in their product lines are great and affordable. It’s up to the individual consumer what they buy and can afford. I always look forward to testing out the dupes lol.

The Australian Brand, MCo, is nothing but Dupes. I recently bought a PR Box off of Mercari, so I could try them out. I hear nothing but good reviews about them. I’m surprised they haven’t been sued, yet.

Not all of the elf products are good quality wise. Some of the products out there are worth spending a little extra for excellent quality. It’s an individual thing 😊.
