Women in projects: Levelling the playing field
Показать описание
To mark International Women's Day, we were joined by a panel of female experts from across the project profession for a LinkedIn Live panel discussion, ‘Women in projects: Levelling the playing field’
As part of our ongoing campaign to highlight issues relevant to women in project and programme-related roles, they discussed themes such as #flexibleworking, #career progression, gender parity and perceptions around equality.
As the chartered membership organisation for the project profession, our values mean we champion diversity and inclusion, approach things with open minds, and treat people with empathy and respect. Crucially, we also listen and lead debate. Project management relies on good leadership and team working, which can be enhanced by promoting individual strengths. The future relies on changes in working practices, involving both men and women. We hope all project professionals, regardless of gender, will be able to join this event and be inspired by the insights shared to keep the discussion going and drive positive change in their own workplaces.
Our panel will include:
• Sue Kershaw, APM President and Managing Director for Transportation at Costain (Chair)
• Karina Singh, Director of Function, Profession and Standards at the Infrastructure and Projects Authority
• Jo Roberts, Head of Strategy, High Speed Rail Group
• Jenny McLaughlin (she/her), Project Manager, Heathrow
• Jenn Harris, Programme Manager, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
