Great Video Jon, they look like a decent set. I am wondering, one thing I hate is having a different headset for every device. Can you pair these up to your smart phone also for regular phone calls? Or are they an XBOX only device? Also have you tried connecting them to your PC? If so, did you face any issues? Gotta say - I also have a big head, I get real issues buying sunglasses!

Not apples to apples but I returned the 700HX to get the Xbox. I am regretting it. I found the 700hx more comfy and sounded awesome with the Atmos enabled. To me the Xbox get hot and put pressure on my ear with glasses, and sound a little flat even after playing with settings. But i do love the xbox controls tho. I will likely try the 800 next

I had a PlayStation 5 with the rig 800 got a Xbox came with the Xbox headset and I can’t get on board with them, just ordered the rig 800 for the Xbox’s they are so much more comfortable and can wear them longer. Because of the bass being so much in the Xbox’s it’s hard to hear them footsteps at least for me.

Pretty sure the rigs were just discontinued. Best buy Amazon and game zone is now limited /out of stock/ removed from shelves. Just went today to get a new set because the Mic shorted put on my 3rd set of rigs now running the steelseries 9x

Can you do custom EQ on the RIG set? I'm adverse to heavy bass and need custom EQ. Please and thank you for your answer!

The only thing I concerned is how long it last the RIG? I think Microsoft products in general last long.

I just got a Rig 800 and i'm kinda feeling a little buyers remorse... I had an Afterglow AG9+ that was getting a little old and the headband broke. I really liked them because i could hear myself in the headset. With the Rig i cannot hear myself and it drives me crazy because I feel like I'm talking with ear plugs in and cannot hear how loud i am talking. Can you hear yourself talk in the Xbox headset...? I might try them out if i can get them to connect to me laptop as well.
