My dad played this on guitar and sang it to my sister and myself all the time and I’m of course looking it up now due to the fact I want to learn it since sadly my dad passed away yesterday and this memory came rushing back and it breaks my heart he won’t be the one singing it to my son so i will most certainly take the reigns

I used to put this record on and sing this song to my darling daughter when she would wake up for her 2 am feeding-she’s 45 now and this song never fails to reduce me to tears, beautiful, haunting, heartbreaking tears.

My brother and I grew up in the 60s and 70s reading Winnie the Pooh books, watching Pooh cartoons and playing with Pooh toys. Now in my mid 60s I still tear up when I hear this song, nostalgia takes over.

I’m a sixty one year old headbanger! I tear up every time I hear this song. When my wife of 35 years and I were first dating, she watched General Hospital. Watching it one da, A character on the show started singing this song and I sang along. I think that’s the moment she really started to like me! She only knew me as a headbanger but I knew the words to the sweetest song ever written.

My dad called me Poohbear since I was a baby because I was a “silly ol thing” for waking up to watch commercials, but then fall asleep for the actual show. I’m 53, and wish I could hear him call me Poohbear again.

FUN FACT: When Kenny wrote the original version (Called “House at Pooh Corner”) Disney’s lawyers wouldn’t allow the song to be released but luckily at the time Kenny was dating the daughter of Donn Tatum who was the CEO of Disney at the time so she took Kenny to see her dad and Kenny performed the sonf for Donn and then Donn rang the Disney lawyers and told them to allow the song to be released

Kelly Ann's song for her baby Brandon. We loved the whole album. Rest in peace my beautiful niece Kelly Ann. No more suffering. In the arms of God. Love you always, Aunt Mo Mo

I was brought up on Classic Pooh (pre Disney), even had an old 78 recording of Pooh songs from England. I still cry my heart out when I reread my old books with the beautiful Shepard illustrations and I come to the part where Christopher Robin has to leave the hundred acre woods to go off to boarding school. But I know that in those woods, there will always be a little boy playing with his bear. This song has always made me cry for them and all of their beloved friends. It's perfect. Thank you Kenny Loggins

This song is life. To me it represents growing up in America in the late 70's early 80's which I cannot express the level of emotions it holds and produces. So many things it touchs on. Winnie itself represents a certain point when Disney seemed to still be dedicated to traditional art which was lost when they moved away from allowing the hand drawn style to come through in their animations. And the subject matter of pooh is the epitome of escapism as a child. Looking out the window into the yard or forest and imagining to grab your stuffed friend and head out into that fantasy world.... all the while hopefully knowing mom has a good dinner waiting for you.
These are just a few of the infinite memories and ideas this song harbors and induces. Eternal life magic.

I think for me now it most closely represents my love and I going out for walks with our sweet maltipoo puppies at sunset then returning for delicious dinner and sweet desserts. The magic of being in a great relationship and having precious puppies is the best!
