In the 1970’s, my third grade teacher brought the whole Loggins and Messina album into the classroom. She played this song for us and I was enchanted with it. I must have requested to hear it again, or perhaps commented to her how much I liked it. Next thing I know, she hands me the whole album and tells me I can borrow it and take it home. I was stunned. The fact that she trusted me enough to take good care of it at such a young age spoke volumes about what a sweet lady she was. Now here I am revisiting it again in my mid 50’s after all these years. Great memories!

My late father introduced me to this song back in the early fall of 1993. He passed away the following spring on April 29th. I was only 5 when he left this world. 30 years later in April of 2024 I listen to this timeless classic yet sentimental favorite of mine in my dad’s honor and memory. This one’s for you pop!
