Hello Travel Lovers,

I went to Antigua, Guatemala and spent a week doing a Spanish Immersion program. It was such a great experience and I highly recommend it. Take this journey with me, as I try to better my Spanish snd explore Antigua, Guatemala.

Few facts that are not mentioned in the video:

2) I stayed with a host family, and during time in Antigua, Guatemala. And they were super nice and very welcoming

3) The cost for the room stay was $115/week and that included three meals a day Monday - Friday

4) Price for the classes $140/week for 25 hours of class (5 hours a day)

5) The city was/is very walkable, and the things are very cheap

6) Depending on traffic it is about a 50 min ride from the airport and the immersion program coordinated that for me.

If you have any additional question, please comment down below :)

Thank you for watching

Hello Laura. I clicked on the link for the school in your description, but it says " online only." Did the in-person immersion school close down? Thanks.

Hi Laura! Do you think a week was enough time to get some good learning in?

Thanks for the video! You've all but convinced me to change my plans to go to Guatemala instead of Costa Rica, which has become oversaturated with tourists. In doing my research, I'm thinking of going to Lake Atitlán in San Pedro; are you familiar with that area? How did you decide your location? I saw some warnings around water, teeth brushing and food safety? Will you share more about this? Did you experience any illness? How mindful were your hosts when preparing meals to ensure you don't become ill? Have you returned to Guatemala post-pandemic? @lauragermaine838
