Making the Ultimate Computer Mouse V1

How I made a fully functioning laptop computer inside of a mouse.

In this video, I'm going to show you how I built my computer mouse. Which is a fully functional raspberry pi computer inside of a 3D printed mouse.

Very nice! Two pieces of feedback:

1. Wiring is a tad messy. It helps to test fit your pieces first, then solder wires in when you know exactly what length and orientation they need to be in. Also, try using ribbon cables when you're soldering a big bus - it'll make it much neater than using a bunch of individual wires.

2. Hot glue just ain't the way. Use threaded inserts, embedded nuts, or hell just screw straight into the plastic. The plastic is soft enough where an M3 screw will thread into a 3mm diameter hole in the plastic. Anything is better than hot gluing stuff; especially gluing PCBs to plastic shells. That's gonna be a huge pain/mess to disassemble when you want to make V2, you run the risk of ripping up solder pads on the board if the hotglue is touching them, and in general hot glue doesn't work well as a long term solution. Even for prototyping hot glue is not the way to go; it's for arts and crafts and maybe fabrics sometimes. Very rarely is there a legitimate place for hot glue in this kind of work.

You should consider adding a heatsink to the Pi, that may be the reason it keeps freezing. There isnt mych airflow inside that mouse.
