The woman with the fully fueled chainsaw was at Seattle-Tacoma airport. She was taking it to give to her children. I remember walking through SeaTac 20 years ago when it was in a display case of nutty things people had tried to bring through security. Another item not to bring are Fig Newtons. Apparently they look like explosives on the x-ray. I learned this the hard way.

I was traveling with my wife through the Philippines and she had her tiny curved tip scissors and they spotted them and had her remove them and throw them out. As well I have seen signs for no nail clippers allowed in carry on baggage. In Singapore the first security check point spotted my 100ML bottle of Dior cologne and made me pull it out to show him. I am glad they are being thorough!!!

I think you should have included information on Exclusions from the 3-1-1. Prescription Liquids should be packaged separately and don't count. Also, if you have medical equipment; from Diabetic supplies, to CPAP machines, to Service Animals do not count against your Carry On Limit. That said, You are responsible to notify the airline(s) a head of time of these encumbrances.

I keep a mini multi-tool on my key ring. It's a cute souvenir I got during one of my trips years ago. Recently, I completely forgot it was on my key ring. I definitely got stopped, it got confiscated, and I felt really stupid.

Didn’t know about the powder thing because My bag got searched because I had powdered water flavourings like Crystal Light. So I will avoid it from now on except for maybe 1 pack of electrolytes in my liquid bag.

Lol! I once won a Teflon frying pan during a holiday white elephant gift exchange. I put it in my carry on not thinking much about it. A frying pan looks pretty bad on the TSA x-ray. They let me through, but gave me an odd look. 😊

Anything with a LITHIUM battery has to go in hand luggage and not checked baggage due to potential fire in hold compartment.

Hi I'm from Australia love your channel your videos are very educational. My mum and I went to Las Vegas a few years ago and I bought my partner Booby lighter I believe it was a refillable one threw it in my backpack got to tsa security they picked my bag and put it to the side as I went threw, I heard is this your bag responding yes sir.
They took me aside I was almost in tears they had scanned it and they emptied all the contents of the bag, they found the Booby lighter.
They had to check to see if that sort of lighter was allowed threw AND YES IT WAS OK. My mum was laughing on the other side I'm in tears I tried to repack my bag with Please don't touch your bag yet please, they gave me back the lighter I repacked my bag. Moral to this story I'll never but another BOOBY LIGHTER FOR MY PARTNER EVER AGAIN. Tsa were very nice.🇦🇺

Lighters are allowed in carry on bags - cigarette BIC type lighters. That's it. As a smoker, I passed both Amsterdam and US security with it just fine.

I carry a very small baby powder and crystal light individual packs and 1 cup istant coffee. Never an issue yet. Living in the Philippines and very humid so I use baby powder in my underwear area.

I had sparklers in a checked bag and got stopped by the bomb sniffing dog and had to give them to security. I didn't even think about it when I packed them!! The security guard just gave me a look like she was sorry she had to take them

You mentioned electric fans shouldn't be packed. I am going to Thailand in a few months. I planned on packing a couple handheld fans, as well as a little bit larger fan (still small enough to fit in my carry-on). Is this going to be a problem? I've never heard about fans, but then again I dont think I know of anyone who would travel with fans either. 😅

I packed a long handled flashlight 🔦 years ago before 9/11 and was pull aside by security and thoroughly investigated at Heathrow. They were smirking 😏 and giving me side 👀 thinking it was a feminine toy!
