DON'T OVER PACK FOR YOUR CRUISE. My wife and I have been on almost 20 cruises. Needless to say, we first over packed and took WAY too much. Now, we both make do with one medium suitcase per person and have plenty to wear. You will not need at least half of what you bring as a newbie. You won't believe this, but the more you cruise, the more it will become apparent to you.

If you are a chronic pain patient, carry your narcotic pain pills in your pocket. The TSA agents and other airport screeners like to take a handful, if not the whole bottle. My carry-on was removed to a private room for "further inspection" and a good handful of my pain pills were missing when I got it back.

nice video most of these tips are common sense but since most people dont have any common sense its good to put them here i have been on 16 cruises and the biggest issues for most woman and some men is bringing a small iron all the ships i have been on have a laundry room and in those rooms are free irons with ironing boards

The last point was the most interresting point! I was on several Cruises and i don`t try to take my walkie talkies or frequence scanners or world receiver wiht me, but i thougt over!

The tip about watching what you put in checked luggage is so important. That's why I usually don't take anything but a carry-on and a tote bag- I HAVE no checked luggage. It's not that hard to do once you figure out how. Most travelers take too much stuff. Besides keeping my items safe, I also can also easily carry all my luggage this way.

Oh, and keep a hold of the key to your luggage. We went on one cruise and hubby realised when we got the luggage delivered to the room that he'd mislaid the key to the padlock. We had to ask the steward very politely if someone could help. They produced bolt cutters.

The rules about what items aren't allowed on cruise ships are very very similar to the rules about what items the TSA won't allow past their checkpoints. In both cases for example, even things like nail clippers are considered weapons and thus not allowed aboard.

When my family and I go on a cruise we always keep our baggage with us so none of our stuff gets ruined lol everyone looks at us weirdly but we bring a dolly and put our baggers on it

Lol my family also brought walki talki’s because at the time my siblings and I didn’t have phones so we would just communicate with the walki takis and they really worked
