I have a very small quick dry travel towel from REI Co-op Which comes in its own mesh Velcro bag! I use it as a travel blanket, car seat cover (so I don’t burn my legs on a hot rental car seat), emergency towel for spills, and, of course, to use as a towel if I needed one! Can’t travel without it.

Laurie I just came back from Mexico my first flight in over 20 years. I watched all of your videos in preparation for TSA rule compliance, packing tips and more😀Thank you so much everything went so smoothly I was well prepared before I even got to the airport by the time I was sitting on the plane I was so proud of myself. Your videos saved me a lot of anxiety and I was "cool as a cucumber" thanks Laurie your the best!!💜

I use luggage tags but also use the return address labels inside my suitcase. Also take a picture of your suitcases before you hand them over at the airport! If your suitcase gets lost, you will be asked for a description. A photo definitely helps!

Dont know if this was mentioned yet, but string your necklaces through a straw will also keep them from getting tangled up. Happy bday Ollie!

Just got back from 9 glorious days in the Keys. I used quart plastic bags for everything. It isn't cute but saved tons of space 😁

Hi. I would disagree about the luggage tag. It takes up no space and provides contact info should your bag get lost. I just put my name, number, and e-mail. It's come in handy, not for me, but for a travel companion when someone took her bag at the Dubai airport. I would also put that same info inside the bag.

The only neck pillow to fly with is “Tubular Travel -Tube Travel Pillow”, tube you stuff with clothes! I’m able to pack PJs, jeans, 2 shirts, bra and underwear in one, frees up more space in your carry on, made by Donna C in Jacksonville FL

When I'm at my destination, I don't keep cash in my wallet, but instead take out almost all of the Kleenex in a purse pack (the kind that fold - On the Go packs) and put my paper money in that. It may not help if the entire purse gets stolen, but if you re being pickpocketed they probably won't bother with it.

I love travel pouches, but if you’re looking for a budget option, mesh laundry bags will work in a pinch!!

Good video. I bought a stand up pencil case in the school supply section of my Walmart store. Very versatile to use for my dental supplies and make up on the hotel countertop. It looks just like the brush case you show. Also, I have found several new small and medium pouches at our local Goodwill store. I will be traveling internationally next year for the first time. So excited already and it won't be until June. :o)

I know this is not in everyone’s budget, but I travel weekly and I ALWAYS carry my black cashmere scarf from White and Warren. I got it as a gift years ago and it is a blanket and a scarf. It has saved me thousands of times and is a beautiful, timeless piece. They sometimes (rarely) go on sale for 20-25% off. I especially like this one because it is big enough to use as a blanket but also upgrades any outfit

Laurie! I just love how you go right into your topics when doing your videos, then AFTER a few minutes of showing us stuff, then you introduce yourself and what you're about. I wish more youtubers would do it that way.

I keep an old trunk organizer in my closet that holds all my travel stuff. Luggage tags, shower shoes, small sewing kit, electric adapters, money belts, travel bottles and anything I only use for travel. It’s great because I always know where my travel stuff is.
I even have a box of 1 quart Ziplock bags, leftover from when we had to put all our liquids in them!

One of my favorite pack-light hacks is putting the liquids and gels I just need a bit of (face scrub, aloe, neosporin, ichthammol, benadryl cream) in contact cases. I can travel for a month at a time with enough sunblock, bug stuff, and shampoo plus those littles in my quart-sized ziplock. I use Bite toothpaste bits instead of regular paste. Happy trails!

I just got back from 2 1/2 weeks in Italy and Greece. I never leave the house without a fold up fan in my purse. The plane was delayed on the runway for one hour and my friend and I were able to stay semi-comfortable using the fans we bought for .25 each. It takes up so little space, but when you need it, it is there for you.

when travelling with wet wipes put them into a ziplock bag to stop them drying out in your bag. It’s something to do with the environment in flight.

I travel overseas several times a year. Doesn’t matter how long I go, only take a carry on. I use a pouch that attaches to my bra strap for hidden cash and even a credit card. And just recently acquired socks with a zipper. Every ounce counts, so I have mastered light packing.
Love your suggestions.
