Unity Shader Graph - Shield Effect & Impact Detection Tutorial

In this Shader Graph tutorial we are going to see the steps I took to create an awesome Shield effect that detects hit collisions. The impact detection is done with a script that controls a property of a Sphere Mask in the shader.

Enjoy!

I was very concerned when he said "Jedi Graph". I don't have the power of the Force, so I was unsure whether I can create this effect. Very nice tutorial. I haven't done it yet, but it sure does look great! <3

Hello there.Firstly thanks for awesome tutorial. If anybody have problem with Sphere mask, i had problem, too.

My solution was :
Firstly I added collider and rigidbody to particle effect not the gameObject.(afterwards I added to gameObject)
I deleted the shaderSphereMask and redo it

*For all those who have problems with the Sphere Mask* : check that the position of the Transform 1 Particle System is in the coordinates 0; 0; 0. And the position of the Particle System with Sphere Mask should also be at 0; 0; 0. I stupidly searched for a very long time for a solution to the problem. Perhaps you have the same problems.

Just a quick tip: hexagon shields are associated more with sci-fi than fantasy. It looks out of place with your fantasy warlock. It's a cool effect, and could work well for blaster fire or something, but for your warlock, maybe consider a more organic / swirly shield shape. Maybe use a voronoi pattern or something?

Can you next time show exactly the whole screen, so that we see every detail happening within the video? I'd like to know exactly what you did. Besides this, great work man thx.

i wonder how do you make the effect at the end, the one where only some of the pentagons/hexagons move(arround 12:00), looks like is by changing the position of the faces of the mesh (i dont even know if that is posible with shadergraph)

Hey, are you the same guy selling the Unique Projectiles packs on the asset store? I bought/adore them. I googled this tutorial for use with them! Thank you so much, worth every penny and more

The hit shader just straight doesn't work for me. Works in Object space on an actual sphere, but not as a particle, not in Object or World space. Plus Am I missing something? you use the alpha channel from the texture, but the image has a black background?
