The best piece of advice I got for addiction was “ An addict can’t stop abusing till they know why they started abusing in the first place”. Our society has brought shame to mental health and its struggles but a lot of people have been where you are and have come out healthier and happier. Sometimes the darkest nights bring the brightest days

"youre not a piece of shit"... That is the best thing I've heard in a LONG time. The people I hung out with (whilst drinking, smoking and more) are the ones to tell me I AM a POS for trying to break the cycle, and I've learned that they say this BECAUSE they're in the same place I'm in, and don't want to hear it. Thor saying this helps put them into perspective ❤️
