It was a nice tree, I think it is an endangered protected tree in chilli, must of been a good reason to cut it down, he didn't monkey around cutting it down though!

We had a monkey puzzle tree in our front yard growing up (Bay Area, Ca). Not sure where this video is taken, sounds like UK somewhere. The fruit/cones from that tree were enormous, twice the size of pineapple. They were dense and very heavy. My mom was very concerned a falling cone would hit someone walking by. She finally decided to have it cut down professionally. Half the neighborhood set up lawn chairs to watch. Sad to see it go but from a safety or legal perspective it made sense. Haven't seen another example of that tree in the Bay Area since.

how sad it looked fine to me is it dying or dead? it looks fine in the video, where we live there are thousands of trees any one of them have potential to kill but rarely do, a bolt could fall out of the heavens and kill but never does,
